Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, Original (nude dries invisibly) .34 fl oz (10 ml) Review

Let me be honest, about 6 years ago, I first tried this product, and I just couldn't figure out why people loved it so much. The primer (and eyeshadow) was just not going on the way I wanted it. So, I set it aside, and I tried other products. After a year of no luck, I decided to give it another shot. I sat in front of my mirror for a bit; after a few trial and errors, I figured out my problem - I was using way too much AND putting the eyeshadow too soon. Only using three small dabs, it was the perfect amount. Of course, it took a bit of practice for the eyeshadow, but after some time, I was able to figure that out too. The key is to know how long to let it sit after smoothing the primer on my lids - for me it took only a few seconds.

The two things that I absolutely about this product: 1. how light and sheer it feels, and 2. the staying power! I'll use it in the morning, and at the end of the evening, my eyeshadow is STILL there.

I've been complimented so many times on my eyeshadow and have been asked many times how it stays on for so long.

So, I've been using this product for the past 5 years, and I absolutely LOVE this product.

I was so excited when Sin came out. I absolutely LOVE that also. I use the original mainly for my eyeshadows, and I use Sin alone.

The only thing that may have been a drawback was how messy the bottle can get. Some of the product can spill out on the side, etc. However, just like how the application took a bit of practice, trying to keep the product clean took a bit of practice as well.

But in my opinion, this product is worth the messy self-education... :)

A must for those looooooong, hard days... - thetarotphile - USA
This primer is AMAZING. It truly, truly works. The price might seem a bit steep for this little bottle but trust me, it's the best investment. I have worn this primer on long days and my eyeshadow HAS NOT CREASED. I repeat! Has NOT creased! I'm talking about all day traveling on an airplane days, all day in the car days, early to work and then out late days. This stuff stays put. I even had a hard time taking it off one night, I had put it under some dark, smoky shadow and a little darkness still clung to my eyelids the next day. If I had used makeup remover it would have come off, but it just goes to show what a great product it is. It's also great, if you have very fair skin, for covering up little vein lines or spots on your eyelid.
Love, love, love!

Love it! - Jennwatkins3 -
Definetly worth the money! I never was able to wear eyeshadow before because it would always rub off a few hours after putting it on but with this I wear eyeshadow everyday and it's stays on the entire day. I love it and will never use any other product!

This product really does work! - KB -
I bought this product a while back and I've only used it twice for special occasions that were long. I heard of this product through Michelle Phan on youtube and I wanted to try it. This product really does work! It lasts for a long time. It makes your eyeshadows/eye makeup stay in place for a long time without smudging or caking. It goes on before you put on your eyeshadow. But to warn you, only use a little dab on each eye. If you use too much, it will be hard to rub the eye makeup off later. If you're looking for a eye primer that will make your eyemakeup last through out the whole day and night, this would be the product for you. Also perfect for ladies who go out clubbing the whole night too.

The only downside is that it was expensive for a product that is the size of your mascara bottle. Also it really does stay on, so when you try to clean your eye makeup before going to bed, you have to rub it hard to make it come off. That hurted. Maybe if I had an eye makeup remover, it would have been easier, hahaha! But overall it kept my eye makeup on throughout my whole occasion, without smudging or caking.
